Pastor

Hello! My name is Kim Armentrout and I have been blessed to serve as the pastor of First UMC since July of 2022. First is an amazing church that is fully committed to sharing God’s love with one another, our neighbors, and our world.

When I am not busy pastoring, I enjoy reading, being outside, and spending time with my family. My husband, Darryl, works as a chaplain at Dayton Children’s Hospital, and he also works for the City of Dayton. Darryl and I have a daughter, Maya, and we think she is the best! We like to go on family adventures as well as spending time at home.

Mary Ellen Clinard

Worship Director

I am so happy to have been a part of this wonderful church family since 1995, and as Director of Worship since 2006. I look forward every day to creating elements of our worship services, playing the organ, directing the choir, and producing the First Friday @ First Methodist Concert Series. When I’m not at church, I enjoy playing piano for area musical events, working in the yard, trying new recipes, and discovering the architecture of cities. I have 2 sons, one who lives in Norwood, OH, and one who lives in my home state of Oklahoma. If you enjoy singing or playing an instrument, I would love to talk to you about our Music Ministry and how you can serve God with your gifts!

Pam Fugett

Office Manager

Hello! My husband Rick and I live in Middletown. We have 3 wonderful grandchildren. I enjoy singing in the choir and teaching in Jr. Church. Fun fact – We live in the house that Rick has lived in all his life! He’s never moved or lived anywhere else! I am an active member of United Women In Faith. I joined the staff in Dec. of 2021. I retired, after 40 years, from the Marketing Research Industry. As the Office Manager, I want to help the staff and members achieve their goals as it relates to church life.

Treasurer

What a great place to work! After retiring from marketing and special events, I was blessed to step into a role at my church paying the bills! Our choir is the best group of friends anyone could ask for and being a part of that group is very special to me. I have found so many ways to serve just doing things I enjoy! Sharing the day-to-day with this church staff is fun and fulfilling. I hope to be doing just that for years to come!

Susan Beagle

Financial Secretary

I have been attending FUMC for over 50 years. I have been the financial secretary since 2023. I enjoy participating in the United Women of Faith and overseeing the church nursery. I also enjoy playing piano for various schools and churches in the area. My husband and I live in Monroe. We have two sons, Johnny (wife Rachel) and Bobby (wife Sarah), and a granddaughter, Ellie.

Greg Cooper

Building Superintendent

I retired from AK Steel in 2006 and started my next career here at First UMC in 2009. I enjoy “discovering the problem and fixing it.” Because I’ve also been known to rock a baby to sleep in the Nursery my colleagues have given me the nickname of Super Cooper!
